Meet the team
The people who lead the Jammers, on the stage and behind it.
David L. Reynolds, Jr.
Founder and Executive Director
David L. Reynolds, Jr. founded the Vienna Jammers and leads them as Executive Director. He grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and went to Virginia Tech with the goal of bringing his love of music into schools. He has taught at Vienna Elementary School since 2001, first general music and now technology. Under his direction, Vienna Elementary students have done everything from flash mobs and the national anthem to a performance at Capital One Arena (then the Verizon Center), and his farewell song for each year’s sixth-grade class is a tradition that goes back to 2001.
David is active in OneVoice, a charity that connects children around the world through music, and has traveled with it twice to Africa and once to Nicaragua. He has been nominated for Fairfax County Teacher of the Year, named Teacher of the Year by the Vienna-Tysons Chamber of Commerce, and recognized by the Mayor of Vienna for his volunteer work in the town. He is a Grammy Music Educator Award semifinalist and a 40 under 40 honoree of the Leadership Center for Excellence.
Julianna Lee
Assistant Director
Julianna Lee is the Assistant Director of the Vienna Jammers. She earned a Master of Music in Percussion Performance at George Mason University, where she studied with Jonathan Bisesi, John Spirtas and John Kilkenny and played with the GMU Percussion Ensemble, the Symphony Orchestra and the pit orchestra. Her Bachelor of Music, with a performance concentration in percussion, is from the University of Virginia. There she studied with Professor I-Jen Fang and played in the UVA Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band and Marching Band and the Charlottesville Symphony.
She has performed with the U.S. Air Force Band in its Collegiate Symposium and in concerts with the Crozet Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Balalaika Society and the Oratorio Society of Virginia.
Julianna teaches percussion across Northern Virginia. She has been the Percussion Caption Head at Langley High School since 2018, and she has helped teach drumline, front ensemble and percussion ensembles at West Potomac, John Lewis and Centreville High Schools. She has also taught percussion at Madison High School, Cooper Middle School and Thoreau Middle School, and worked with the 5th- and 6th-grade percussion students at Churchill Elementary School.
Reshma Eggleston
Business Manager
Reshma Eggleston became the Jammers’ bookkeeper in the year the Jammers became a nonprofit, the same year her youngest child auditioned and joined Jammers Red. As the organization grew, her role grew with it, from the books to administration and operations. Along the way she earned her own Jammers nickname: Pita Bread.
When her Jammer graduated after nine years in the program, Reshma started her own musical journey by joining Jammers Gold, and she loves this new connection to the Jammers community.
A fellow Hokie, Reshma earned a B.S. in Operations Management at Virginia Tech. She has worked with nonprofits for most of her adult life, serving as president, treasurer and director for several organizations. She is also the Director of Subscription Services at 340B Report, another Vienna business.
