SINCE 2005
Found sounds
The group began in 2005–2006 when a high school junior (our old friend Dave Cohen!) approached David L. Reynolds, Jr. with the idea of starting an after-school percussion ensemble. The signature Red Brute trash cans were bought partly out of financial necessity, and partly because the group wanted to emulate the “found sounds” idea at the heart of Stomp. Members play marimbas, hand drums, trash cans and any other object they can hit — and the steel pans made their debut in 2014.

Mini-Camps
The easiest way to try the Jammers.
These camps are open to children new to the Jammers. They are fun, interactive, 2-hour sessions that happen a few times throughout the season. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are open to 1st-5th graders. We have two camps a season (Fall and Winter). This is a great introduction to the Jammers and will help you gauge your child's interest level.

THE GATE
Summer Experience Camp
Every ensemble starts here.
These week-long, half-day camps are open to children new to Jammers, and serve as the required audition for our performance groups. Camp participants will experience firsthand the high energy, uniquely hands-on teaching style of award-winning educator David Reynolds, Jr. and the Jammers camp staff. Children will have daily sessions in drum set, hand drumming, and mallet percussion ensemble. No prior musical experience is required. Your child may only attend one week of camp.
Summer Experience Camp dates are TBD. Check back here in January or sign up for our newsletter to receive an email when registration opens.
